Imran joined Stantec as a Water Resources Intern on the Midwest H2O team. He will be working out of the Minneapolis office and will work on various water resources projects.
AGU Fall Meeting | December 2024
UH-DMI group principal investigator Dr. Kun presented a poster about the "Effect of urban sewer and soil profiles on surface sub-surface hydrology" project at the AGU Fall Meeting 2024. Imran is a co-author of this poster and a research assistant on this project. He helped to prepare graphs for illustrating preliminary findings based on the initial simulations.
CITI Program | September 2024
Imran completed the RCR Bundled Course and passed all the modules offered by the Citi Program. This certification is mandatory for researchers working on an NSF-funded project. This course provided him with clear ideas about research ethics and responsibilities.
University of Minnesota | August 2024
Imran started his master's in Civil Engineering with a concentration on Water/Environmental at the University of Minnesota in Fall 2024. He also started working as a Research Assistant at the UH-DMI research group.
Dhaka International University | October 2023
Imran joined Dhaka International University as a Lecturer in the Civil Engineering department on October 19, 2023. His responsibilities included teaching, grading, student counselling, organizing industry visits etc.
IELTS | August 2023
Imran scored a band 8 in the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) out of 9. He scored 8.5 in Listening, 9 in Reading, 6.5 in Writing and 7.5 in Speaking.

Imran completed his bachelor's in civil engineering from KUET in March 2023 securing 6th position out of 138 students in his class. His final CGPA is 3.80/4.00. He also received the prestigious Dean's List award 3 times for his academic performance.
